Lake Mourunki
Lake Mourunkijärvi is a clear-water marsh lake in the middle of nature in Kempele's Juurussuö. The lake is located at the end of Mourungintie and can also be reached along the Köykkyr hiking trail, e.g. by mountain bike and in winter by skiing. About a kilometre from the lake is Marjakammi, a popular hut for sausage roasting. Lake Mourunkijärvi beach is one of the official beaches of the municipality of Kempele. Every autumn, the Kempeleen Marathon Club organises the Mounrunki Trailrun event, which involves running or walking from Köykkyr to Lake Mourunkijärvi and back. On Mourungintie before the lake is also the Linnunrada alpaca farm, which also has a café during the season (check opening hours!)
